So you met online and went on to your first date, but you are not sure how he feels. Women have about 50 different body language signs showing that they are interested in a guy, but guys only have about 10 so it's much easier for us to find out how they feel. If you need some help deciphering his body language to see if he likes you we have got you covered.
Glances
If he looks at you a lot and you catch him raising his eyebrows while looking at you, that is a huge sign he is into you. Eye contact is everything, it's one of the most important signs when telling if someone likes you. If you want to "test out" the waters try this out: Look at his face and hold eye contact for 3-4 seconds then look away, a couple seconds later look back again and see if he holds eye contact. If he does he is definitely interested, but if he breaks the eye contact and looks away, he is probably not into you. Don't confuse this with a shy guy's reluctance to make eye contact, if he is shy but attracted he will keep looking over at you. You just have to wait and see if he does it.
Position
If he leans towards you or positions himself close to you, it's a major sign that he is into you. Another big tell would be his hands, feet, and legs- if they are pointed or angled towards you, it tells you a lot about what he is really interested in. When you first see him check out what he is doing. If you see him grooming himself by smoothing down his hair or fixing his tie, etc. That means he wants to look attractive to you and is indeed very interested in you.
Listen
When he talks, listen to him, if he talks about himself and brags about himself it is because he is trying to show you how wonderful he is. It may seem too much and can be annoying at times, but he will get over it quickly ( we are hoping for your sake he will stop). Also watch him listen to you as well, in a conversation when you say something softly watch if he leans in and if he stays there. That is another big giveaway, keeping an eye on how he positions himself during a conversation can reveal how he feels about you.
Touch
Does he touch you in a conversation or get close to you? Or when you are all sitting in a group does he put his arms around your chair or the back of your chair all these can be signs that he is interested in you. Guys who are interested will generally find excuses to touch you- like touching your hand when he laughs, touching your arm when they are explaining something, or giving hugs for the flimsiest reasons. What happens when you touch him? If he flinches and moves their arm or hand away from yours he is probably not interested. Don't confuse this with a shy guy though, a shy guy can flinch and move away from their hands and whatnot, but if you watch them closely they can show other signs that they like you.
Sports
If he is missing an important football, soccer, basketball game to do something with you he is definitely more than interested in you. For most guys, games have sacred importance especially if their team is playing, so skipping that to do something with you shows 100 % they are into what they are doing.
Interests
Does he act interested in things you are interested in? If you talk to them about your favorite TV show or band and out of nowhere that becomes their favorite thing as well, he is interested in you. Well, maybe that TV show or band is their style too and it's okay for that thing to become their favorite as well. The important factor is to take all these elements together. You can't say he likes me just basing that on the fact that they fell in love with the TV show you talked about, it is okay, it was your favorite TV show, to begin with. So there is a big chance it is a wonderful TV show.
Actions
Guys are visual creatures and the first thing that they notice is a women's appearance more so than women. So when a guy compliments you, it shows he paid attention, piqued his interest, and is indeed interested in you.
If a guy acts differently around you, or he seems a little nervous and fidgety, or maybe tones down his "macho" attitude he might be interested in you. Observe how he is with other people, how does he talk and behave with others compared to you. When talking about signs like these you have to keep in mind that you can't base it all on one criterion and determine he likes you. You have to look at the person and the situation as a whole and figure it out from there.
If the guy you like demonstrates these signs congratulations, that's awesome and he is most probably interested in you too. If you met online and went out on a date and there will be an easier way to see if he was interested he will ask you out for a second date. If you know each other from someplace else well then he will ask you out if he is interested. If he is too shy and you are interested why should you wait for a guy to ask you out? Go ahead and ask out yourself. The worst answer you can get is a no. Unless you guys are best friends or work together. Then it could end up being bad.
Finally, if you are still unsure of whether he likes you, why don’t you just ask him? At least he will know where you stand, and that’s the whole point, right?
